It’s been a long time since I posted anything, but the sun is out so a good excuse to get drawing. Took my sketchbook and some watercolours to St James’s Park on Sunday and sat in the sun for a bit. I’ve not done a lot of sketching with water colours outdoors before but thought the day called for a bit of bright colour.

I bought a 50 sheet Jumbo Watercolour pad from Cass Art at the end of March, with the aim of getting a lot of painting done, it hasn’t quite worked out like that so far, April has just been too busy I’ve only used 6 pages so far. Noticed on the Cass Art blog that they’re running a Watercolour Challenge this month to create and tweet up to 50 watercolour drawings by 31st May.  I’ve got 44 pages left so going to give it a bit of a go, bit of motivation to get painting again, don’t think I’ll get anywhere near that but if I get halfway there, that’ll be a productive month. Haven’t used Twitter much so far but if you want to follow my progress I’m at: @martinsdoodles
